Dr. Jeffrey Etemad

Apollo Program

Dr. Jeffrey Etemad is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) and ReCODE 2.0 Certified practitioner, who is also double board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM). His primary goal is to work with participants on the Bredesen Protocol to prevent and reverse cognitive decline through the ReCODE and PreCODE programs.

For the last 25 years, Dr. Etemad has helped teach osteopathic medical students in medical school, in office and in free clinic settings.

Several years into clinical practice, he found he was unable to help some patients with cognitive decline. In 2016, he first took training with Dr. Bredesen at the Buck Institute in Novato, CA, as the Bredesen Protocol seemed like a natural fit into his patient care approach. More recently, Dr. Etemad has completed the latest training and is now ReCODE 2.0 Certified.

Training in the Biodynamic Approach to Osteopathy in the Cranial Field has given him a valuable way in which to address Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). In addition to Osteopathic treatment, this practitioner utilizes many strategies to help his Bredesen Protocol participants, including testing from IntellxxDNA, RealTime Lab, Quicksilver Diagnostics, Mosaic Diagnostics, Mymycolab, Genova Diagnostics, IGeneX, Vibrant Health, Cyrex Laboratories, and Doctor’s Data. A key principle he has learned as an Osteopath is to find cause, a principle he applies alongside addressing the six subtypes for cognitive decline identified by Dr. Bredesen, in developing a comprehensive treatment plan.

GETTING STARTED

If you select Dr. Etemad as one of your ReCODE practitioners in the Apollo Health System, he will work with you and your primary care physician to support you on the Bredesen Protocol through the ReCODE and PreCODE programs.

MEET AND GREET VISIT (30 minutes): $250
Ask questions about the protocol and this practitioner’s program. Discuss what it means to work together to see if it’s a good fit.

Prior to your INITIAL VISIT, this practitioner would like you to start with purchasing the baseline (ReCODE and PreCODE) labs directly through Apollo Health from your active account. However, if you prefer, your visit can be to perform a MoCA Test and answer your preliminary questions about the Bredesen Protocol.

PRICING

ReCODE INITIAL PROGRAM (6 months): $2500

• includes 4 hours of time with the doctor
ReCODE FOLLOW-UP* PROGRAM (12 months): $1800

• includes 3 hours of time with the doctor
PreCODE INITIAL PROGRAM (6 months): $1800

• includes 3 hours of time with the doctor
PreCODE FOLLOW-UP* PROGRAM (12 months): $1200

• includes 2 hours of time with the doctor
* You must first complete Dr. Etemad’s ReCODE Initial Program before moving forward with the Follow-up Program.

** Any additional time with the doctor or that is needed will be billed at an hourly rate of $400 per hour, including additional research time for your case.

PROGRAMS PACKAGES INCLUDE:

• up to 2 portal / email messages* (between appointments) that take less than 10 minutes of Dr. Etemad’s time to read and respond are included in the program price.
• ordering of labs and inputting of data on the Apollo portal
• monitoring of your brain-training progress on BrainHQ and update BrainHQ trainers, as needed
• tracking your monthly progress through CNS Vital Signs (ReCODE) or the Cq Assessment (PreCODE)
• administering and tracking your progress over time with baseline and repeated MoCA Tests

* If the request takes more that 10 minutes to read and respond, Dr. Etemad charges $400/hour (billable in 15-minute increments), if the request requires a significant amount of research.

Costs for labs, supplements, equipment and supplies, adjunct therapies or programs are not included in the program price.

• Single Consultation for IntellxxDNA Interpretation*** (1 hour): $500

* EWOT stands for Exercise with Oxygen Therapy. (This involves using a Nordic Track with oxygen concentrator and personal EWOT mask, and tubing.)
** For EWOT Sessions, you will need to purchase an EWOT mask the first time for $50, if you have not already done so.
*** Cost for IntellxxDNA testing is not included and is available for additional cost.
