The woman pictured with the children in the school next door is Dominica, also the name of the Orphanage. She is truly an inspiration to us all.
Dr. Kisiel’s oldest son led a group of fellow high school students to do service projects at the orphanage. My son Cam (in the blue shirt) joined in for as much of the program as our schedule allowed.
In the center (“tall Steven” is his nickname) is my colleague from Massachusetts who is leading the seventh trip in 4 years. These colleagues became like family to my wife and myself, a beautiful global group hailing from England, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Japan and the U.S.
It was inspiring to have my wife (Beth) be one of my fellow other treating Osteopaths.
One evening we had an opportunity to visit Old Santo Domingo.
