Find the Diagnosis

I have been taught to always seek a precise diagnosis, since beginning my study of osteopathy in 1991 at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific.  In 1993, I took a summer course run by James Jealous D.O. at the New England College of Osteopathic Medicine.  This was my first introduction to the Biodynamic Model of Osteopathy in the Cranial Field.  There was something about this model that really held my attention.
In 2001, I began taking courses again with Dr. Jealous.  In each of the usually twice per year courses I have taken with him over the past 20 years, a facet of osteopathy has been illuminated more clearly.  Dr. Jealous has spent countless hours reviewing the work of Dr. Still and Dr. Sutherland.   “Dr. Still understood the Cerebral Spinal Fluid (CSF) as the highest known element in the human body…”
On pg. 15-16 of the 1st Edition of Osteopathy in the Cranial Field, Dr. Sutherland describes “feeling the C.S.F…a Spark (fire) that was unerring, intelligent and in command, superseding all other functions.  He therefore called it Primary Respiration.”    Dr. Jealous notes “Dr. Sutherland also sees clearly that Primary Respiration does precise diagnostics.”
