Rural Osteopathy and Opportunities for Further Study
In early 2020, I opened a rural office in a family home which we have had for over 40 years. The place was originally purchased by my parents so my mom could keep her horse there. Fourteen years ago we shifted gears and began having goats and a llama on the property. My son taught me how to milk a goat that we acquired after he did an high school internship at a nearby goat farm.
It feels very different to treat patients in a rural environment. The pace, tempo and rhythm of life is slower. Dr. Jealous said numerous times over the years that the closer the natural world is, the deeper the healing process can be. I have also found the Bredesen Protocol to be easier to implement in a rural setting. For more information about the Bredesen Protocol, please visit: https://www.apollohealthco.com/
Please see Dr. Jealous' website, https://www.jamesjealous.com/
for more information about opportunities for further study and also if you need to find a biodynamically oriented Osteopath in another part of the state or the country or the world. Although Dr. Jealous is now guiding us from beyond the veil, here on earth he still has a very impressive teaching faculty in the U.S. and abroad offering post graduate studies in adult and and pediatric osteopathy (referred to as adult and pediatric phase courses). There are also Associate and Undergraduate (biobasics) course offerings. I plan to offer in fall of 2022 in Tomales a course similar to what we did in 2018 and 2019 where we pick an Associated theme to introduce and/or refresh physicians about biodynamics and we also have some student spots in the course so some biobasics education is offered as well.
Jim's daughter Marnee Jealous Long runs Dr. Jealous' website and she was a great help to me in organizing the 2018 and 2019 courses. Hopefully by the fall of this year, we will have a curriculum put together for the 2022 course. Please check this website and Jim's website for updates later this year...thanks and be well.
